In collaborative practice with the Medical Director, attending physicians and fellows, the nurse practitioner will be responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for the Oncology Center patients. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a master's prepared oncology advanced practice nurse employed by UCLA Oncology Practices to assist in direct patient care. The NPII will be responsible for communication and feedback with patients, families, and referring physicians and will serve as an clinical care extender of attending Oncologists. Incumbent must be self directed and function with minimal direct supervision.
Current California Licensure as RN and Nurse Practitioner - required.
Graduated with an MSN/DNP Specialty in Adult Acute Care, Adult NP with Oncology Experience – required.
Oncology experience as an RN or NP - strongly preferred.
Current BLS from ARC or AHA - required.
Skills and abilities to perform accurate assessment and evaluation of oncology patients - required
NPI less than 6 months experience
