Up to $3,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Patient Care Tech
A Patient Care Technician is responsible and accountable for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care by functioning as a phlebotomist or care partner. The Patient Care Technician duties include answering phones, taking and reporting messages, running errands, delivery and pick up of specimens and supplies, as well as ordering and restocking of unit supplies, and assisting with care and tending to the personal care needs of the patient as directed by the Registered Nurse.
The Patient Care Technician answers the patient call lights and notifies the appropriate person to meet the needs of the patient, and assists the Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse in the care of the patient.
The Patient Care Technician assists with obtaining lab specimens and 12 Lead EKGâ��s.
EDUCATION Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous Patient Care Technician experience preferred
American Heart Association BLS Certification
Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
