The Clinic Practice Manager (CPM) will provide management and leadership of interdisciplinary patient care services within the Primary Care setting. The CPM will be responsible, along with the Nurse Operations Manager for the daily operations of the assigned practice group. The incumbent will be the first-line supervisor for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants within that practice group. Each Clinic Practice Manager will be a member of the Primary Care Clinical Board. As a member of the Clinical Board the Clinic Practice Manager will be responsible for assigned clinical leadership duties. The CPM will be responsible for working with the Primary Care Division and other Divisions within the medical center to achieve quality care standards, productivity targets, patient satisfaction goals, accessibility to care standards, and meet performance targets, including External Peer Review Program (EPRP) quality metrics. The incumbent will assure that the policies, practices, and services within that group practice are consistent with the mission and vision of the Primary Care Division, the VA Portland Health Care System, the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20 - VA Northwest Health Network, and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Central Office. The incumbent will work with other divisions within the medical center to achieve compliance with internal and external regulatory and accreditation standards such as Joint Commission and OSHA. The CPM will also have responsibility for providing primary care services to a defined panel of patients. The CPM is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to excellent clinical care. Accountability: The Clinic Practice Manager will be accountable to all other members of the Primary Care Clinical Board including the Clinical Director, Administrative Director and the Associate Chief Nurse Executive of the Primary Care Division.
