The Innovation Intern will assist with essential market analysis, participate in human-centered design activities, and gain hands-on experience evaluating and explaining emerging devices and systems. In addition, the Innovation Intern will practice entrepreneurial and agile methodologies, gain awareness of the latest technology trends, including voice user interfaces, augmented reality, and machine learning and help inform the next-gen solutions that provide positive experiences our user's value. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Continuously analyze existing systems, understand and document customer needs, requirements, and technical specifications
Conduct human-centered design research, perform testing, and develop personas
Support design thinking activities, agile development methodologies, and discovery workshops
Assist in preparing mockups, prototypes, and wireframes
Document customer meetings, concepts, and project artifacts/decisions
Perform market research and provide recommendations to improve usability and accessibility
Identify and communicate improvements to advance the mission of the Innovation Center
Assist with meetings, tours, and workshop preparation and setup
Work independently and collaboratively with a team of designers, developers, and analysts
Performs assigned work and other related duties as required
Education and Experience Requirements
High school graduate
Experience with human-centered design, user experience best practices, and design thinking methodologies
Experience with creating test strategies, procedures, and facilitation
Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to coordinate multiple competing priorities and projects
Experience in troubleshooting infrastructure, software, and customer challenges
Experience with Microsoft and Adobe applications
Aptitude for learning quickly and possess strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
