The Manager, Consumer Protection Compliance (â��Compliance Managerâ��) will support Coniferâ��s Ethics and Compliance program by providing day-to-day management of the consumer protection compliance program. The Compliance Manager will often partner with the following functional compliance areas in their work: Coding Compliance, Investigations, Risk & Oversight, Revenue Cycle Compliance, Privacy, Third Party Oversight, Training & Education, Policy, and Regulatory Change Management. The Compliance Manager will also have the opportunity to support other compliance program initiatives and participate in a variety of projects.
Develops, implements, and oversees core elements of the consumer protection compliance program to: (1) provide consumer protection compliance subject-matter expertise to key stakeholders (2) proactively identify and remediate consumer protection compliance risk and emerging concerns throughout the organization; and (3) perform risk-based consumer protection compliance monitoring and testing of both internal processes and supplier-managed processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides consumer protection compliance subject matter expertise to Conifer operational leaders and compliance team members, as well as client compliance counterparts.
Develops and performs key, risk-based monitoring and testing activities including:
Creating appropriate parameters for monitoring and testing activities included in the Ethics and Compliance Testing Plan
Assessing operational process governance
Analyzing data in probe samples and performing account reviews
Identifying and recommending opportunities to mitigate risk or improve the efficiency or effectiveness of business operations and compliance
Drafts final reports and dashboards
Routinely oversees early out and bad debt collection vendor practices as part of the organizationâ��s established third party oversight framework
Establishes proactive relationships with the vendorsâ�� operational and compliance contacts
Conducts routine monitoring and risk-based testing of vendor-owned processes
In conjunction with Legal and Operations, addresses instances of non-compliance related to vendor performance
Assists in the creation of consumer protection compliance education and resources. In addition, advises on policy updates, where applicable.
Collaborates with key leadership, team members, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout Conifer to promote a culture of compliance.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field or equivalent years of related experience required.
Minimum five yearsâ�� experience in related area required Experience managing risk in the areas of TCPA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other state and federal consumer protection laws and regulations required
Experience working in a healthcare focused organization is preferred
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is preferred
