Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Specialty Pharmacy team.

Responsibilities
- Assist with factor replacement therapy dosing and surgical planning
- Develop and review hemophilia department policies and protocols
- Assist with prior authorization approval, obtaining financial aid, and compassionate use approval
- Educate patient and family on factor replacement therapy, oral oncolytic therapy, and hazardous drug handling
- Follow up routinely to assess medication adherence and side effect management
- Coordinate timely and accurate dispensing of therapies and supportive care medications, as applicable
- Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center
- Review appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy
- Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses, and medical staff
- Interpret prescriptions and dispense medications
- Prepare and maintain all necessary records on medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records, and inventory
- Supervise and authorize the work of technicians, externs, interns, and support staff
- May assist in the training of technicians, externs, interns, residents and other department staff
- Serve as a role model and mentor to technicians, students, residents and new practitioners
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Idaho Pharmacist License
- Oncology or pediatric pharmacy residency or equivalent experience preferred
- Background in managing specialty medications preferred
