Overview
Atlantic Heath System is seeking a per-diem Nursing Assistant for the Rockaway Ambulatory Surgery Center at Morristown Medical Center. The shifts will vary based on the surgical schedule. No weekends are required.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
This individual would be working in the OR assisting surgical team with turn over of rooms and equipment set up for surgical procedures.
They would be assisting with transfer of patients to stretcher and anesthesia wake up but that would be the only patient contact.
The main responsibilities would be stocking the department, OR set up and equipment cleaning.
Helping to ensure a safe care environment.
Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude.
Good communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum Experience:
Prior acute care experience
Care of the patient in the Operating room experience preferred
Knowledge of OR equipment preferred
PACU experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
BLS required
CNA preferred
