Atlantic Health System is seeking a full time Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Overlook Medical Center to work 10:30AM-11PM, including every 3rd weekend of the month. This position also has an on-call requirement.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Monitor and recover patients from the effects of anesthesia and provide all aspects of Phase I care following surgery and procedure.
Using critical thinking and decision-making skills, provide ongoing assessment, evaluation and documentation of patient care.
Be able to transition patients to the next level of care whether to a critical care or inpatient unit.
Phase II or discharge home in an expeditious, safe, and timely manner and provide accurate and complete handoff communication.
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
1-2 years PACU and/or critical care experience preferred
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS, PALS, ACLS Certification Required
CPAN, CAPA, or CCRN Specialty Certification Preferred
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
