Teach Physics as part of the Radiology Resident Program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Primary coverage will be at Morristown Medical Center, with cross-coverage for other AHS facilities.
This position will report to the Manager/Chief Physicist.
Manage the Radiation Safety Program as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at some of the AHS facilities, ensure compliance with regulations on radioactive material use and x-ray equipment, and provide 24/7 radiation safety support during emergent situations
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High school/ GED Diploma required
MS in Medical Physics (or related field)
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years clinical experience preferred
Must be qualified as an RSO as per NRC regulations
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications
License/Certification:
ABR certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics or Nuclear Medical Physics or ABMP certification in Diagnostic Imaging Physics
