Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Core Lab at the Atlantic Consolidated Lab in Morris Plains to work 3PM -11PM, including a minimum of every 3rd weekend.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing the laboratory and report results according to SOP.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.
- Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP.
- Maintain and manage laboratory inventory/
- Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team.
- Maintain competencies and continuing education.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Previous Core Laboratory experience preferred, but not necessary; new MLS/ CLS graduates welcome.
