Overview

St. Luke's Health System in McCall is seeking a RN Lead to join our Urgent/Quick Care team.

The RN Lead will assist with:

• Provides direct patient care tasks within RN scope of practice, to include patient triage and escalation to higher level of care (ED) if appropriate.
• Responsible for monitoring and/or directing rapid patient flow throughout the department.
• Leads the staff/provider team in daily huddle and assists with monthly staff meeting.
• First contact for daily challenges encountered during patient visits, assists staff with problem-solving and requests leader assistance when warranted.
• Collaborate with clinic manager to create staff schedules and manage daily staffing needs due to sick calls, leave, or PTO.
• Partners with clinic manager to onboard new hires and monitor preceptor/orientee progress to ensure timely completion of onboarding processes.
• Assists and supports the clinic manager to ensure and reinforce care delivery follows regulatory standards and evidence-based practice.
• Attends site or service line care council and helps bring back information to front-line clinical staff at meetings or huddles.
• Helps clinic manager to mentor/coach staff and guide completion of initial and ongoing clinical competencies.
• Provides real-time feedback to peers and participates in crucial conversations as needed.
• Assists clinic manager in identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement related to clinical practice and patient safety.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts. Rotating start/stop times. One weekend per month, two 12 hour shifts. Rotating holiday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of staffing resources and operations.
• Assists or may be responsible for scheduling, communication, and clinical decision making. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met.
• Assists with budget planning and clinical needs assessment.
• Responsible for training or assignment of training.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/ or clinical priorities
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates of Nursing Degree/Diploma
• Experience: 3 years' experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership / charge experience
• Familiar with ambulatory setting is ideal
